Ukraine says it has introduced again 12 kids taken by Russia

“Ukraine has introduced residence 12 kids who have been forcefully taken by Russia,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s chief of employees stated.

“As a part of the initiative of the President of Ukraine Carry Youngsters Again UA, it was doable to return residence 12 kids who have been underneath the stress of the Russian occupation,” Andriy Yermak wrote on his Telegram messaging app late on Monday (February 3, 2025).

The Carry Youngsters Again UA programme underneath Mr. Zelenskyy says it’s an initiative to return residence all kids forcefully deported from Ukraine.

“Amongst these returned was a 16-year-old who misplaced her mom, a 17-year-old known as up by the Russian military and an eight-year-old lady,” Mr. Yermak stated.

The press workplace of Russia’s Commissioner for Kids’s Rights, Maria Lvova-Belova, stated it had no details about the 12 kids.

It informed Reuters by electronic mail that the commissioner’s workplace took half in household reunifications with Ukraine with the involvement of worldwide mediators when “further efforts are required to facilitate motion and resolve authorized points.”

Russia has stated it has been evacuating individuals voluntarily and to guard susceptible kids from the warfare zone.

Kyiv has introduced again 388 kids to date, in line with knowledge printed by Ukraine’s Ministry of Reintegration.

In March 2023, the Worldwide Legal Courtroom issued warrants for the arrest of Ms. Lvova-Belova and President Vladimir Putin associated to the kidnapping of Ukrainian kids. Russia denounced the warrants as “outrageous and unacceptable”.
